Art Show Guidelines

(note: for those who wish to participate as an artist or buyer, please see the bottom of the page.)

RULES OF PUBLIC CONDUCT

  1. No Photography. Video recording also falls under this prohibition as well. If you bring a camera in of any kind, including camera phones, and are seen using it, the Art Show staff reserves the right to confiscate the camera because of copyright violation. Cameras may be either checked in at the art show desk or kept secure and off in a completely enclosed bag on your person.
  2. No Food or Drink. If you have any food or drink with you, please finish consuming it outside the Art Show before entering. If you damage any artwork by entering you will be held liable for the cost of the artwork (and in some cases, additionally recompensing any buyers as well).
  3. No Smoking. Smoking in the room is a fire code violation and anyone found smoking will be turned over to hotel security for further processing.
  4. No Touching the Artwork. Unless there is a sign allowing and/or inviting you to touch the art, and the artist has made the Art Show staff aware of this permission, only then are you allowed to touch that piece of art. As bid sheets are attached to the matting or frame of some artwork, you are allowed to touch that, but not the artwork itself.
  5. No Large Bags and/or Weapons/Props. These are required to be checked in at the door; you will not be permitted into the Art Show until such items are checked. This is for the safety and security of the public, the staff and the artwork. You may also be asked to check coats or cloaks as well.
